GS2 Pioneers Income-Based Repayment Models with $2 Million Loan Facility Leveraging Income Share Agreements
SAN DIEGO, CA – Goal Structured Solutions, Inc. (“GS2”) is pleased to announce that it has, in partnership with Make School, become the first lender to enhance cash flow opportunities for schools by leveraging Income Share Agreements (ISAs). GS2 recently closed a $2 million credit facility, enabling Make School students to fund their education debt free with ISAs. This groundbreaking ISA collaboration creates transparency in higher education by aligning the cost of an education with students’ outcomes.
As a forward-looking, income-based student financing option, ISAs help students fund their education based on a fixed percentage of their income for an agreed upon number of years after graduation. Since no interest accrues in school, ISAs alleviate the burden of debt on students and their families.
“Traditional methods of financing higher education only evaluate families’ ability to pay based on past performance without transparency to a student’s potential return on investment for their education. ISAs align costs to outcomes and broaden consumer information, leading to more informed decisions and improving accountability. In partnering with Make School, we are facilitating innovation and revolutionizing the way people pay for school,” said Ken Ruggiero, Chairman and CEO of GS2.
Make School’s product based education model, ISA funding structure, and career support empower students to succeed. “Our partnerships with GS2 and Vemo Education make our ISA program possible. We worked closely with GS2 to customize an ISA financing structure that would work best for our school and our students. Vemo Education provided us with the infrastructure required to implement ISAs. As innovators in higher education, Make School is proud to collaborate with these forward-thinking partners in education finance,” added Ashu Desai, founder of Make School.
GS2 offers several solutions to help schools finance ISAs. For more information
